A slice of Worcestershire talent at The Hive
For the next three weeks (24 July – 20 August) visitors to The Hive in Worcester can grab a coffee and feast their eyes on a slice of the wonderful artwork created by some of the county’s talented artists.
The wall in the cafe area and the adjacent cabinets are filled with an eye-catching sample of work created by artists who are taking part in this year’s Worcestershire Open Studios.
The display features a variety of media including painting, printmaking, textiles, jewellery and ceramics. From stunning still life paintings and atmospheric landscapes, to functional pots and intriguing sculpture, there are a range of styles to see.
Artist and Worcestershire Open Studios co-organiser, Sally Anne Morgan, says,
“This exhibition is the perfect introduction to the fantastic range of creativity that will be on offer at this year’s Worcestershire Open Studios over the August bank holiday weekend. So many artists are opening their studios, homes and shared spaces this year that we wanted an opportunity to showcase a sample of their work in the lead up to the main event.”
The Hive is open every day from 8.30am to 10pm. The exhibition is in the cafe area and cabinets on level one.
