Artist information
My work is deeply influenced by my fascination with water, light, and the emotional responses they evoke. I strive to capture the grandeur of nature, vast skies, endless seas, and the vivid play of light, highlighting the exquisite beauty in both the majestic and the everyday. My process is intuitive and immersive, layering colour, texture, and movement to reflect the shifting atmosphere of a moment. I often work with pastels, acrylics, and oils, allowing each medium to bring a different energy to my pieces.
I am inspired by the ever-changing landscape, from the soft glow of dusk to the drama of stormy skies. My work is rooted in a deep appreciation for nature’s fleeting moments; how the light dances on water, the way clouds dissolve into the horizon, and the emotions these scenes stir within us. Travel, memory, and personal connection play a significant role in my art, influencing the colours and compositions I choose.
I studied Fashion Design in the Scottish Borders before moving to London for a career in fashion. Throughout this period, I painted and exhibited in my spare time. In 2014, my family and I moved to rural Worcestershire, and I made the leap to becoming a full-time artist.
I now live in the beautiful village of Inkberrow with my family, finding daily inspiration in the shifting skies and rolling countryside that surround me.
