I feel connected to the Seasons and the passage of Time when I work, and also to the artists of the past. My paintings are a distillation of vital looking – and a way to give thanks for the beauty that can be found in the world around us.
In my varied ceramics and sculpture I work intuitively, engaging with the daily drama of light and shadow, and balancing the constraints of construction with the often whimsical meanderings of my imagination.
