Jacqui Worrall

Batik artist and painter

I am a Batik artist and painter – I love colour. I like making Batik pieces as it’s often a surprise to me how it’s turned out until the wax is taken off at the end. Batik is a process that takes time; layers of wax and dye are built up on cloth using a tchanting. At the other end of the scale I paint abstract canvases and moody paintings of trees and woods. I also dye and spin Alpaca fleece and knit into gorgeous soft, light and colourful scarves and wraps as I love mixing the colours together as I spin.
