“Intuitive, experimental and leaning towards abstraction”

Sums up my approach to landscape subjects, either through mixed media, acrylic or pen, ink and charcoal. Expressive mark making aims to achieve dreamy illusive images. Figurative studies are varied in concept and production ranging from Modigliani inspired to a more obvious approach, often based on themes of music and dance.

This is a rare and stimulating opportunity to pair up with just one fellow artist for an exhibition, in this case Mary Brittain, as generally my work is seen in the context of group exhibitions of the Artistree Co-operative of Ledbury.

Over the years I have exhibited across the Three Counties area with this group of contemporary artists and craft–designers.
