The Lost Woodsman
I am a green wood worker which means I mainly use hand tools on freshly cut wood. For the last open studios I made furniture but during lockdown I started a new anonymous project under the name of ‘The Lost Woodsman’ where I left small animal carvings around Worcester’s green spaces for people to find and keep. These animal carvings proved to be very popular and I would now like to sell them to raise money to buy local land to rewild into nature reserves, to help fight the biodiversity and climate crisis. I cut my own sustainable wood, and I aim for my craft to be 100% pollution and carbon free.
