You will find my studio nestling under a walnut tree in our private sculpture garden all of which you are invited to view. The location is fitting as my latest work deals with highlighting the hidden beauty within trees at this time of climate change.
During lockdown I developed some processes to make striking contemporary prints directly from sections of fallen trees, with the wood used being mainly sourced mainly from the historical Forest of Feckenham area of Worcs and comprising many species and sizes.
The handmade, limited edition prints are typically made using black ink, but also in bolder colours to suit modern interiors and range in price from around £30 to £150 and available framed or unframed.
My work also features on a range of colourful organic T-shirts with ECO themes as well as tree print greeting cards, coasters and homewares.
Another exciting development ahs been the creation of stunning A2 size light boxes which feature a handmade tree ring print made of lovely fibrous Japanese paper.
I can also create bespoke prints of sections of your wood – maybe you had to have a beloved tree felled due to disease and would like a memento?
Trees allow us to breathe so should they not be more celebrated in art? – and it feels good to bring some of the beauty of nature into our homes
