What they might have said.
Drawing, Painting

I paint in oils, working from my studio on the borders of Worcestershire and Herefordshire. My paintings use paint expressively, to suggest stories about people, places and feeling, using colour and movement. I'm interested in the moment which holds the promise of a suggested history, or a story with a future. This year's theme for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition is 'Only Connect', which chimes with the kind of work I do, and my painting, 'Family Dinner' has been shortlisted.
I will be showing both small and large paintings as well as a number of works on paper in a browser.
I shall be exhibiting my paintings alongside fellow artists Mary Brittain, Erin Conel, Stella Downing and Gemma Griffiths. Our very different types of work should provide a varied experience for visitors to the Granary's delightful studio and courtyard garden.
