My work is extremely varied, in theme and form as well as the materials I use. I love flowers and gardens and these are hugely inspirational towards my work. I am interested in the human figure and the effects that emotion and movement has on it, and this is usually explored through my more abstract work. And words also influence me. I love colour, pattern, shape, repetition and form. I rarely work from drawings or photographs. The act of engagement and creating is a prime influence for me, later followed by a pleasure in attaining a result.
