Green Sea Glass Pendant

Green Sea Glass Pendant

by Claire Dingley

This beautiful piece of green sea glass had been tumbled by waves for many years, before being found on a beach in Essex. Green sea glass generally comes from wine bottles – how it ended up in the sea and how long ago, will never be known. It is this sense of history and mystery that makes sea glass so special. I have set it onto a hammered diamond shaped piece of sterling silver. The light reflects through the glass and back out again, making the colour really pop! The silver is 1.5cm x 1.5cm and the pendant hangs on a 16″ sterling silver Trace chain.
