Original framed watercolour painting

Across the buttercup meadows to bredon village

by John Horton

This framed watercolour painting was inspired by the view from the M5 driving south looking across the water meadows to Bredon village. Some years there is a carpet of buttercups in May. Also a wonderful variety of cattle. Its painted with winsor & newton watercolours on Arches 140lb HP paper. Framed size 100 x 64 cms. Natural oak frame with a wash lined mount. The painting was taken from the Avon Way alongside the M5 and as we walked we saw and heard curlew and lapwing. Swallows and house martins skimmed the field.
