Christopher Hughes — Painter
Since leaving Royal Worcester Porcelain in 1980 I have been a full time freelance artist. I continue to paint on fine bone china, in watercolour and oils. My work is also available as limited edition and open edition prints. I accept commissions in all three mediums, for private and corporate clients. I would describe my work as traditional and representational.
My main inspiration is nature, with landscape and wildlife predominant. My home and studio gallery is in Holly Green, near Upton upon Severn. The Malverns Hills are close and feature enormously in my work. I walk, draw, photograph and paint them in all seasons and all different angles! There are always new originals of the hills in my gallery, together with many different signed artists prints.
I also teach painting and drawing in private classes and for the Local County Councils. Although we have now sold our beautiful Greek island home, I still hold painting courses in Tuscany and France.www.christopherhughesgallery.com
