Jacqui Worrall — Batik artist and painter

I am inspired by colour and nature. I produce colourful original Batiks as hangings, framed or as cushions. Batik is fabric dyed in a dye bath using hot wax as a resist. This is done several times to create layers of colour before the wax is finally removed. I love Batik as its always a suprise to find how it’s turned out when the wax is boiled off.  I also paint in acrylics and oils and have fun ice dyeing t shirts, leggings and bed linen.
