Jewellery making using the lost wax process is so fun and accessible to all levels of ability. This will be a fun 2-3 hour session where you can carve out your own design into wax, which will be cast in silver. This is a great beginners introduction to jewellery. We’ll have a coffee break in the morning and a short lunch break where you can either go to the Fold cafe or bring your own lunch. At the end of the workshop you will have learnt about the lost wax process, made a wax master, which will be sent off to the casters in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. Your piece will then be hand finished and will be ready for you to collect. The cost of the workshop is £80, per person, which includes materials, tuition, tea/coffee/ cake and your finished silver ring. You’ll be in my studio at the lovely Fold in Bransford. Class sizes are small and limited to 4 people although larger groups can be accommodated on request.
