I offer a one day watercolour course on a Saturday every month. We will work on a pre set composition on Two Rivers 200lb watercolour paper which I have put together to explore the use of brushes and colour mixing from a limited palette. Laying on washes initially and then using wet into wet techniques to develop the painting finally working up tones and shadows to develop depth and interest in the picture. I have a maximum student number of 4 in the studio so this ensures good personal attention at each stage. I lead a stage at a time and then support as everyone follows suit. Although we are all working on the same basic composition, by the wonderful fickle nature of watercolour wonderful effects appear providing 5 'different' paintings at the end.
