Fused Glass Artist

Artform: Glasswork, Mixed media, Sculpture

I am a fused glass artist making bespoke artworks and giftware from my home studio, and have sold artworks across the Midlands at venues such as Broadway Arts Festival and other craft markets and retailers.
My artwork is influenced by nature and the wider world, and the tactile and reflective nature of the glass itself often informs my artwork designs. My creations vary from small coasters to large glass totem poles, fish clocks to hanging giraffes, candle holders to abstract sculptures, birds, trees and flowers and many other creations. I also undertake commissions of various things from schools of fish to panels for a window on a canal boat!
My engineering background has given me skills I use with fused glass techniques, shaping basic materials into carefully planned out shapes, fusing together in a kiln and often repeating this process many times to achieve new outcomes.
I also hold workshops at my home studio where I tailor each session to suit the creativity of my students and then fire their designs in my kiln.
During Arts week I will set up a mini workspace at PSW along side my exhibited works. There will also be an opportunity to “have a go”.
