Artist information
My Art is mostly about buildings, either as subjects or as part of the wider landscape. I am interested in what they reflect about the past, showing what people valued and what people thought was important and beautiful. My paintings range from something like accurate observation to semi abstraction.
Artists that have influenced me include John Piper, John and Paul Nash and Eric Ravilious. Most of my pictures are inspired by my local environment although some relate to places I have previously lived; Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.
