Artist information
I am an oil and acrylic painter inspired by the countryside, nature and traveling. I enjoying working en plein air, when the weather allows then returning to the studio to work further on the painting. This allows me to capture the essence of the beautiful scene and bring that back to the studio to work on.
Many of my scenes and subjects are inspired by local areas where I live, discovered on the many walks my husband and I take together. I take my camera everywhere then revisit the scene with my paint & easel whenever possible.
Travels to Australia and New Zealand, visiting our grown children have also inspired me to experiment with new and varied colour palettes, and of course have provided many fantastic landscape to paint.
