Artist information
After many years of teaching and creating textile art I’m now exploring ways to use acrylic paints, inks, collage and print in my work. There are many overlaps with my textile life and it’s great fun discovering ways of combining the different medias.
I’m a self taught artist but have enjoyed taking several on-line and in-person courses. These have enabled me to develop my drawing, abstract painting and printmaking skills.
I live in Droitwich, surrounded by beautiful Worcestershire countryside which I experience every day while walking with Monty, my cocker spaniel and studio companion.
Whenever I’m out and about I’m always looking for possible inspiration. I have an extensive collection of photographs of the light, colours and textures of the ever changing seasons which are a valuable resource for my semi-abstract paintings.
