Artist information
Landscape, music, iconography, poetry – all these inspire my pictures, as I explore the tradition of writing icons, and create abstract images, experimenting with texture, shape and colour. Over the years I have hand-painted many greeting cards, each one unique and individual, which several people have kept and framed, instead of sending them. I use acrylics, egg tempera and gold leaf. My garden studio provides my place of creative retreat, and there is always some new project on the horizon.
