Artist information
I am primarily a sculptor, but also paint on paper. My works are mainly abstract, but I draw inspiration from the shapes and colours of the landscape. My 3-dimensional works are constructed in steel or wood and painted. My aim is ‘to please the eye and feed the soul’. My studio and garden were open for the open studio events in 2022 and 2023, and I exhibit with other group shows throughout the year. This year I was invited to exhibit 4 sculptures in the Atherton Green gallery summer show for the month of June in Hampshire. For the month of March 2014 I held a solo show of paintings and sculpture in the Robert Phillips Gallery in Walton on Thames. I have lived in Defford since October 20l9, and work from my studio and workshop there.
