Hello, and welcome to my Worcester Open Studios’ page. I am Jen Janes and live on the outskirts of Malvern. I have loved Art all my life and have been practicing art for 36 years. I draw in charcoals, pencils, ink and have been using acrylic paint for 18 years, using brushes, my finger tips, palette knives or old credit cards to apply the paints. Although I paint many subjects, the genre of landscape is my particular passion. I am inspired by the land, sea, and skyscapes of the British Isles nature’s infinite variety of lights, colours and moods and attempt to express this in my art. My aim is to help the viewer to reconnect with their feelings resonate and harmonize with the beauty of our environment. My influences include the British Artists Kirt Jackson, David Tress, Joan Eardley and Fred Cuming.
