I live and paint on the Hereford/Worcester borders in the UK. My work is figurative, painterly and expressionistic. I am interested in psychological narratives and influenced by the work of Edvard Munch, Joan Eardley and Andrew Cranston among many others. Following a career in writing and teaching, I gained a first class degree in fine art as a mature student at the University of Worcester, and went on to receive an MA from the University of Gloucester.
I paint on canvas in water soluble oils and my paintings are held in several private collections. I was a prize winner in the 2021 ING Discerning Eye Competition; and have been shortlisted for the Royal Academy summer exhibition.
