I do really love to draw & paint, to be creative, make mess & design. It’s what makes me happy, so to make a living doing what I love is just a dream, I hope that love comes through in my work.
Animals are my primary inspiration, with their wild energy, fantastic colours, lines & patterns. I do like to capture a sense of personality within the creatures, an all knowing glimmer of intelligence in their eyes.
They are so precious to our eco system, they deserved to be worshipped.
I’m drawn to rich, warm bold colours & very much enjoy using gold leaf, it harks back to the designs of the Arts & Craft Movement, which I just adore, & it adds a fantastic warm glow which looks fabulous in low light.
I’d say my work is much stylised, motif like, naïve, folk & fun. I love simple design, with good crisp lines, and endeavour to achieve this.

- Cotwold Hare trail, twice painting 6 ft hares to raise money for National Star College and other charities.
