Jo Sullivan – Willow Flowers Workshop

Join us for a relaxed few hours on the farm making your own decorative willow flowers!
I’ll be running this hands-on willow workshop at Bransford Court Farm as part of Worcestershire Open Studios Art Week, a fantastic chance to discover new crafts and meet amazing artists and makers around the county.
This workshop will be taught in a small, friendly group with a maximum of 8 adults, and is suitable for complete beginners, aged 18+.
You’ll learn how to create your own flower sculptures for the garden, using some simple willow weaving techniques.
We’ll be keeping things at a slow relaxed pace – you should have plenty of time to create at least one large flower, or several smaller ones in the time.
We’ll include a short break for everyone to stretch their fingers and there will be refreshments available from the Community Cafe at the farm.
All tools and materials will be supplied and no previous experience is required. Please note though that this project does require a good level of hand dexterity – you’ll need good strength and control in your fingers to split and bend the willow tightly into place.
Learn some traditional willow crafting skills and take home something you’ve made with your own hands.
