FRAGMENTS & THREADS
Create a framed mixed-media artwork inspired by texture, memory and the beauty of overlooked materials.
Working with papers, fabrics, fibres and found fragments, you’ll explore layering, composition and simple hand stitching to create a richly textured abstract piece.
This workshop draws on themes that run throughout my own practice: collecting, noticing, curiosity and discovering hidden worlds within everyday materials.
Working in the garden studio, surrounded by natural textures and seasonal inspiration, you’ll be encouraged to gather visual ideas from the environment around us and translate them into your artwork.
You’ll be guided through the process of building a balanced composition before finishing your work shadow mounted in a timber frame ready to display at home.
No previous experience is needed—just a willingness to explore and experiment.
You will take home:
• A finished framed artwork
• Simple collage and stitching techniques
• Fresh inspiration and creative confidence
A Creative Garden Setting- These workshops take place in my garden studio and outdoor workspace, surrounded by plants, birdsong and seasonal inspiration. We’ll work outdoors whenever the weather allows, with a covered shelter available if needed.
All materials provided, including timber frame.
