My studio in the heart of the village of Colwall is at the bottom of my garden. Having converted the space from an old stable, I use the space to teach workshops and create paintings. My painting and designs are a love letter to nature, `I often find myself drawn to certain colours and shapes, and seasonality is of great importance. My work mainly involves painting onto natural and un gessoed surfaces, including wood, linen and paper. My. favourite paintings will. then often become patterns, I design the repeat using photoshop and then have them digitally printed. The process usually takes around 6 weeks and can sometimes involve multiple attempts to perfect the design. I then make bespoke lampshades and other soft furnishings to order. During the Open studios I will be demonstrating my practice daily throughout the week.
