I work with soft pastels and watercolour and pastel pencils to paint animal and pet portraits, land and seascapes and the unusual that catches my imagination. I love to capture the personality of the animal in the artwork I produce, and enjoy meeting and photographing the pet whenever possible to facilitate this.
I find pastels are a joy to work with and love to share this love with other people through informal workshops, and I am delighted to hear when attendees have purchased pastels of their own to continue their art.
I have my own studio at home, but enjoy painting with likeminded people so attend classes weekly and online to improve my skills further, and I am proud to be a member of the Feckenham Artisans group – several of whom are also taking part in the event.
I will be demonstrating my pasteling techniques during the event at the Feckenham Art Hub in Feckenham Village Hall, High Street, Feckenham B96 6HN, where I am pleased to be able to offer disabled access and facilities, together with nearby parking and refreshments.
