Artist information
Hi, I’m a full time artist working primarily in Watercolour and Pastel, producing figurative work and specialising in animal portraiture, landscape and still life. I’m also happy to accept commissions.
I run regular Watercolour classes and workshops from my home studio/gallery in Worcester and this year I will be collaborating with The Retreat at La Ribiere to run a week long art retreat in Limoges, France.
I also demonstrate at art societies, run school workshops and collaborate with ClassBento.co.uk to produce Watercolour tutorials that can be accessed via their website.
I’m represented at the following galleries:
Purple Gallery in Bournville. House of Smalls, Edinburgh. Charlotte Keating Gallery, Newent
Exhibitions: Royal Society of British Artists, Mall Galleries, London. Broadway Arts Festival, Broadway. House of Smalls, Chipping Campden. Creative Arts Showcase, Bromsgrove. Solo Exhibition, The Gallery, Pershore. Associate member of the Hereford Guild of Craftsmen. Winner of the Women Who Create Award, Women Who, Worcestershire.
My regular Watercolour classes and workshops are held at my bright and airy home studio/gallery where there is plenty of natural light and views over the extensive garden, which we also get to enjoy sitting in for tea and biscuits during ‘break time’, weather permitting of course. Students usually sign up for a beginners workshop, get the Watercolour bug, and then go on to join regular classes. Firm friendships are formed and many students have been regular participants for the past few years. The most important thing to bring to class is a sense of fun and a willingness to try something new (or a bigger brush!), I think my students would all agree that my mantra is ‘more water, more paint’.
