One Day Workshop
Wednesday 26 August 2026
10.00-16.15
This is a one day workshop for anyone with little to no experience of Watercolour.
Ideal for anyone who would like to join classes but hopes to gain some experience in the medium beforehand. Or for those who are unable to attend regular weekly classes but would like to try their hand at this medium, in order to participate in future, more advanced workshops.
We literally start the day with how to hold the brush, so that your confidence builds with each new project. Participants would be required to bring their own art materials from the kit list provided, eg a basic watercolour set, brush, mixing palette, along with a packed lunch. I am able to supply 100% cotton watercolour paper, drawing boards, water pots, kitchen towel etc and a ready supply of refreshments and biscuits throughout the day.
You’ll learn all the basics from how to apply flat and graduated washes, colour theory, colour mixing from a basic palette and tonal values. We cover a lot during the day and you’ll leave with several completed paintings.
