Deb Catesby is a painter living and working on the Hereford/Worcester borders in the UK. Her work is figurative, painterly and expressionistic in style. She is interested in psychological narratives and influenced by the work of Edvard Munch, Joan Eardley and Andrew Cranston among many others. Following a career in writing and teaching, she gained a first class degree in fine art as a mature student at the University of Worcester, and went on to receive an MA from the University of Gloucester. She paints on canvas in water soluble oils and her paintings are held in several private collections. She was a prize winner in the 2021 ING Discerning Eye Competition; has been shortlisted for the Royal Academy summer exhibition and exhibits with Worcestershire Open Studios. www.debcatesby.co.uk.
