My small garden studio is my creative haven. I paint, print and sew surrounded by treasured fabrics and threads, paints and papers. Here I can explore, experiment and play, but also I enjoy the challenge of concentrated looking and drawing. I use acrylics, watercolours and gouache, all waterbased paints, as they work well on paper or cloth. I combine and explore varied media and experiment with different techniques. Inspiration is drawn from my local landscape and the wildlife that inhabits it. Even daily and seasonal changes which affect the light and mood become important as I record them with my camera and in my sketchbooks.
