My current focus is on landscapes around Worcestershire, rendered in oils, which will be displayed alongside some earlier work, including portraits, watercolours and pastel work. The event will be in my garden, with ease of access and plenty of space, marquee and bell tent. Alongside the exhibition, I will be working/painting in my garden (weather permitting!) during the exhibition, and will welcome any questions and enquiries about my work. I am influenced by the atmospheres, light play and painting techniques of the Dutch Golden Age, and will be demonstrating in my work a form of paint layering (glazing) based on their methods.
