Artform: Enamelling, Jewellery & Silversmithing, Mixed media
Over time, I have become especially interested in exploring the technical aspects of enamelling using the innate properties of vitreous enamels and how firing causes them to change when creating my work. Although I began by making jewellery, the scope of my work has expanded and I now combine my enamels into larger pieces (often with mixed media) and have made artwork such as interactive and sculptural pieces to commission.
During Art Week, I’ll be working on new pieces, demonstrating enamelling techniques and will be pleased to talk about my ideas and inspirations. Details days and times when demonstrations will be taking place will be available on my social media pages.
The Enamelling Studio has a display area where a wide range of my designs from jewellery, to up-cycled items for the home and pictures can be browsed.
