I’m Tony Phillips — The Manbroiderer — a Bromsgrove‑based textile artist specialising in expressive hand embroidery. My work blends bold texture, colour, and contemporary stitch techniques, with a focus on making embroidery accessible, playful, and a little bit rebellious.
What You’ll See at Worcestershire Open Studios
My space will showcase finished pieces, works‑in‑progress, and the materials that shape my practice. Throughout the event I’ll be doing live hand‑embroidery demonstrations, sharing how I build texture using stitches like bullion knots and French knots.
Make & Take
Visitors can also join in with drop‑in Make & Take activities — simple, beginner‑friendly embroidery projects you can stitch and take home. No experience needed, just curiosity.
