Every year, talented local artists and makers miss out on Art Week simply because they don’t have a suitable place to exhibit. By offering space, you can support local artists and makers and attract new people to your café, shop, gallery, community centre, church or other venue.
Already taking part from your own studio or home? You might consider hosting a fellow participant?
There is no fee to be a host venue.
WHY HOST?
- Welcome new visitors – Art Week 2025 saw over 18,000 studio and venue visits countywide.
- Support local creativity by giving artists a chance to show their work and to inspire visitors when they meet the maker.
- Raise your profile through our website, printed guide, trail map, and through artists’ own social media.
HOW HOSTING WORKS
- Hosting is free. You may choose to charge a small hire fee or commission, but many venues host at no cost.
- Artists/makers pay their own entry fee (to WOS) and manage their own listing.
- Your venue opportunity will be listed on our site, and artists contact you directly.
- You decide who to host; you’re not obliged to accept every enquiry
Listings stay live until March 2026. Let us know if you find a match or wish to withdraw.
We cannot guarantee you’ll find a match, but your support is hugely appreciated.
EVENT DATES
22–31 August 2026
Venues must open for at least one weekend (although we strongly suggest as many as you can of the 10 days) and a minimum of 6 hours per day
Opening for more days increases visibility, improves the visitor experience and attracts more Art Week publicity opportunities.
You will be:
- Featured as your hosted artist(s) venue in our online directory and printed guide (25,000+ copies distributed in 2025).
- Included in our digital guide as your artists host venue, shared without limits.
- Additional visibility through your artist’s social media and joint promotion.
- Optional opportunities to book standalone advertising (subject to availability).
