In my studio you will find mixed media, collage, textile and glass work. I am an artist working with several different media helping me to process and communicate my thoughts and feelings. This does not mean however that I have nothing in my mind. I will have some intentions before I start. This may be as simple as “I wonder what these colours will look like together?” or as complicated as, “I wonder how I can express the messaging that we receive as young female children?” I seldom plan the outcome of my mixed media and collage images but see where the “play” takes me. Much of my work is abstract. I love bright saturated colours and texture.

With my textile and glass work much of the “play” is carried out in my head rather than on paper. It is then crafted and further developed.

My work aims to be thought provoking leading to reflection and conversation. I am currently exploring how to meld images referencing the women in my family in an abstracted way.
