I’m Stephanie Green – artist, creative director, and poet. I work at the intersection of nature, spirituality, and social justice. My work explores what it means to be fully human—connected to the earth, attentive to the soul, and engaged with the world around us. I work in lots of mediums – often in etching and watercolour.
I’m particularly interested in storytelling—how images can hold memory, meaning, and a sense of the dream-like quality. Alongside my visual fine art practice, I create children’s educational resources and illustrated worlds that help young people understand nature, creativity, and even technology through imaginative, poetic forms.
During the Open Studio you can visit my working space at 8 College Yard, amoung the beautiful surroundings of Worcester Cathedral. You’ll be able to view a collection of original etchings and watercolours, browse sketchbooks and works-in-progress, and see how ideas develop from initial mark-making through to finished pieces.
I’ll be working informally throughout the event, so you may see live drawing or watercolour in progress, and I’m very happy to talk about my process, materials, and the stories behind the work. Depending on the day, there may also be short, informal demonstrations of drypoint etching techniques, giving insight into this tactile and expressive printmaking method.
