Hello, I am Gabe, a emerging artist based in Worcester. My art practice is a hybrid one, combining my background in illustration with Fine Art, blurring the boundaries between the two disciplines. I work solely in traditional mediums, building a visual language that champions tangibility and unpredictability in order to draw people into my unique visions for what art can be in a digital centric age.

During your visit to my studio, you will be able to see that I have been building a body of socially engaged pieces; my art explores issues of consumerism, alienation, gender, queerness and politics, doing so with my own unique visual language. Contextualising my work in issues that are prevalent in a modern world is vital within my practice, I do this by working from life, depicting real humans within their natural routines; visually clashing these scenes of reality with surrealist imagery to weave engaging narratives.

My studio is housed within Worcester Arts Collective, located at No.8 college yard next to the statuesque cathedral. Once inside, you will find me working on the first floor; I will be inside my corridor studio working on an ongoing, Faerie centric project titled ‘Urban Folklore’. Come in To watch me work, ask me questions about my practice, and have a look at what I have on display in my space! One floor up from my studio is Worcester Arts Collective’s shared desk space, of which will be housing my larger works for you to view during your visit to historic No.8.
