Krisztina (Kitty) Cazes is a ceramics artist with more than twenty five years of experience creating clay vessels, gift items and sculpture work. Her love of figurative work lead to creating various functional items combined with story telling and organic elements. For Kitty, every lump of clay has its story and she merely helps the clay to become what it longs to be. Kitty specialises in hand-built stoneware pieces, each one shaped with a rich variety of textures that invite both touch and reflection. Her work captures a quiet balance between organic form and expressive surface, resulting in pieces that feel grounded, tactile, and full of character. At this summer’s Open Studio event, visitors are warmly invited to explore Kitty’s latest collection, experience the subtle beauty of her textured forms, and discover the stories held within each handmade piece. There will be demonstrations of working with stoneware and porcelain both hand building and wheel work.

Kitty believes in the therapeutic benefits of working with clay to bring healing, joy, and self-expression to people of all ages. Combining the timeless art of pottery with a therapeutic approach, through her courses and workshops she offers the opportunity for adults and children to explore their creativity and discover the calming effects of working with their hands. If you’re looking to manage a little stress, improve focus, or simply find a creative outlet, her sessions are designed to meet you where you are and help you grow at your own pace.
