Artform: Collage, Mixed media, Painting, Textiles & Needlework

After many years of teaching and creating textile art I’m now exploring ways to use acrylic paints, inks , collage and print in my work.There are many overlaps with my textile life and its great fun discovering ways of combining the different medias.
I’m a self taught artist but have enjoyed taking several on-line and in-person courses. These have enabled me to develop my drawing, painting and printmaking skills.
I live in Droitwich, surrounded by beautiful Worcestershire countryside which I experience every day while walking Monty, my cocker spaniel and studio companion. I’m also very inspired by the coast – there’s nothing quite like a stormy walk along a beautiful beach.
Whenever I’m out and about I’m always looking for possible inspiration. I have an extensive collection of photographs of the light, colour and textures of the ever-changing seasons which are a valuable resource for my semi- abstract paintings.
