Paul trained as an abstract artist, then became interested in landscape when he moved from London to Worcester, UK. He has exhibited extensively and has built up an international reputation as a landscape painter. His work has also been shown at municipal museums and art galleries throughout the UK and the USA with private collectors across the UK, Europe, the USA and Japan. His work can be seen in the Bridgeman Art Library where it is used in publishing worldwide. Although his paintings are representational, they lean towards abstraction using constructional spatial devices in the composition, and use of subjective colour to describe space.
