I live in Worcester, I have always loved the beauty of nature and this is what inspires me. I mostly work in watercolour and enjoy combining this with gelli prints or lino printing, to create layered work.

My love of colour, pattern and texture comes from observing my surroundings, taking photos to use as inspiration, especially for my ‘landscapes’ and flowers. I enjoy experimenting with the unpredictable flow and merging of watercolours, to create more abstract paintings with layered depth and texture. I often embellish with pen, ink, pencil and pastel. Sometimes I get a needle and thread out too for added interest!

I am a teacher who has always tried to inspire young minds through creative learning activities, allowing children to be successful and confident. My teaching career has allowed me to share my love of art and creativity with many students and kept my artistic interest active over the years.
