In my studio and artist’s gallery at Bevere, Worcestershire Open Studios visitors will see expressive colour-filled landscapes and cityscapes derived from real places or from my imagination, created using paint, ink and collage paper, and often incorporating poetry. This year I’m working mainly on intriguing views in and around Worcester city.
My artworks are intended to draw in and hold the viewer’s gaze, perhaps evoking a thought, memory, mood or emotion. I’m driven to create beautiful images around subjects that intrigue me. My art has at various times been described as ‘impressionist’, ‘ethereal’, ‘dreamlike’ and ‘escapist’. I’ll be interested to see if you agree with one or more of these descriptions!
I’m looking forward to welcoming you to my studio and am always more than happy to chat about materials, techniques and processes, as well as inspiration.
As well as several artist studios, the Bevere Gallery site offers plenty of carparking space plus a lovely cafe – the ideal spot for a break in your art itinerary.
