I began my painting career in 2018 with a focus on life drawing and portraiture. Since then, my practice has evolved around a central theme of Individual Identity.
Identities define who we are and signal to others the kind of person with whom they are interacting. Our sense of identity begins to form in childhood as we develop self-awareness and continues to evolve throughout life, shaped by our memories, experiences, relationships, and values. As we learn more about ourselves and our place in the world, this self-understanding becomes essential in coping with life’s challenges and maintaining well-being.
Recently, I have been interested in the formative experiences that shape our early sense of self – home life, parental influence, friendships, and social moments that empower us and help determine who we become.
My work has been exhibited in the RBSA exhibition Ego: Identity and Power, and in the RBSA Summer Exhibition 2025, RBSA Friends Exhibitions 2024,25 and 2026. I was also a finalist in the
2022 Broadway Arts Festival competition.
